⌠ Review: G Dragon's HEARTBREAKER ⌡
Okay so before I start this blog I just wanted to take note that I think that it would be a good idea to do blog entries on my thoughts on various albums that are recently released every once in a while. Maybe it will help me get more readers onto my blog since I'm a beginner at this kind of thing (The only other "blog"-like website I use is Deviant Art and Facebook). =] Track List 1. 소년이여 (A Boy) 2. Heartbreaker 3. Breathe 4. Butterfly (feat. Jin Jung) 5. Hello (feat. Sandara) 6. Gossip man (feat. Kim Gun Mo) 7. Korean Dream (feat. TaeYang) 8. What’s up (feat. Teddy , CL) 9. She’s Gone (feat. KUSH) 10. Hollow 11. 1년 정거장 (Station 1 year) G Dragons' NEW Image Okay so first topic: G Dragons' new image. What do you think? New long(-ish) sexy blond (kinda looks white blonde?) hair suits him very well to my surprise. The only problem in my opinion is that his eyebrows don't match his hair. Good thing his bangs are long enough such that nobody can really see haha. Other than that, his new image is doing pretty well for him since he's doing a solo album without the other Big Bang members. "HEARTBREAKER" ALBUM TALK. Okay so firstly I will talk about the song "Heartbreaker". It's of course is one of my favourite songs on the album. If you've seen his MV for it you can see that he uses an apple to, I guess you can say "Symbolize" the heart...Okay that was kind of obvious haha. Anyways, the song rhythm speaking, all I have to say for some parts is "wow" how he can sing the lyrics so fast stumps (anyone think of a better word than stump?) me because if anyone wants to sing this song for Karaoke or do a cover for this is going to have a difficult time getting the lyrics and speed right. So props to G Dragon on that. Also the melody of the song kind of reminds me of some of the american songs that you hear that uses more electronic sounds. So I'd say this would be really good dance music to use in a club/ or bar. It's kind of similar to how most of BoA's american CD is mainly the genre to be played at in clubs. Who knows, maybe G Dragon and the rest of Big Bang will come to the U.S. and Canada and release an English album and continue the Korean wave that's hitting the states right now. (Wouldn't that be great?) Other select songs that I like is "A Boy", "Breath", "The Leaders" which by the way, really does have a bit of the rap/ hip hop music that you would hear in Canada and U.S. although...the "wassup, wassup, wassup..." part kinda bugs me. The rest of the tracks were very good also, but those three and "HEARTBREAKER" were the ones that stuck out the most for me. If anyone has agreements or even completely disagrees leave a comment! Till next time, Bloggin' Out! Labels: Big Bang, G Dragon, Heartbreaker, Heartbreaker CD, Heartbreaker Tracklist |
