⌠ Saying Good-bye and Summer Session Begins ⌡
Hi everyone! So it's been a while since I last blogged. Been really busy because of exams and stuff. It's been kind of hectic. For my grades, most were pretty good, but there's one really bad mark that I have :( Kind of upset about it because I studied really hard for that exam and took a lot of days off work for it. Summer Session began, and the courses I have lined up for me are Managerial Accounting, Consumer Behaviour, and Branding. I'll have most of July off to do whatever, like celebrating my Birthday and I'll be in San Francisco for the last week of June for my grandma's birthday so hopefully it'll make up for my last year of no summer. In the one week of freedom that I had, I didn't get to do much, but I got to hang out with a bunch of my friends. The day of my last exam, a huge group of us were in IQ's shooting pool, and it was what I thought, really awesome because just about everyone was there and we had a lot of good laughs. It was a good way to end finals. Another highlight was the UMHKSA BBQ at St. Vital Park. My lack of Cantonese skills made it a little difficult to understand just what was going on, but thankfully everyone was nice enough to translate the stuff I didn't understand (which was like 70% of the time hahaha). ![]() Jimmy and Mei ![]() Getting hosed down by an unexpected watergun Just this past Monday was my last day of freedom before I started going back into studying. That day was also Claire's last day in Winnipeg before she went back to China. Saying good-bye is really hard when you know that you may not see them again for a very long time. It reminds me of when I had to say good-bye to my good friends Regan and Darren. I haven't seen them for about a year now. Going back to Claire, we had a big good-bye party in the AVM lounge and we had hot pot and mahjong to play with. Everyone was eating, chatting and playing mahjong. It was really fun and Claire was really happy that so many people gathered to spend time with her before she left. The highlight of that night was when we showed Claire her cake we bought for her and she said a speech and sang a song for us :) It was a great night all together. I'll miss Claire a lot and I hope that I can see her again in the near future. |
